31st Annual Pacific Symposium: Three-Hour Course

November 2, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The afternoon session will offer a thorough look at just a few of Tung’s most relevant points or point patterns, the ones that Susan utilizes all day, every day in the clinic. As the symposium will be in the fall when preparing for the winter season, she will discuss the best points and points patterns for colds and flus, sinus infections, allergy to winter-pollinating trees, acute and chronic cough, pneumonia, asthma, COPD and treating weakened immune systems. If time allows, she will also discuss what are referred to as “the moxa seasons.”

Points and point patterns will be taught, through:

  1. Location – written descriptions, photos and drawings
  2. Indications
  3. Operative theory and commentary
  4. Some combinations
  5. Digital video for location and needling techniques

1) To provide both beginning and advanced practitioners a selection of some of Tung’s most commonly used points.

2) To describe the importance of using fewer, very carefully chosen points.

3) To describe correct needling technique for each point.

4) To describe advanced concepts about specific points and how to intelligently combine points and point patterns

5) Following this class, participants should be able to immediately utilize the points discussed, in their own clinical setting.
