E-Book Instructions

There are lots of ways to navigate your Tung's Points e-book (PDF) file. Since they are not necessarily obvious, here are a few tips.

We have created instructions for Adobe Acrobat Reader, and the Apple Preview app—two of the most popular apps for reading PDFs (there are many others, but these two will give you an idea of how to navigate in another app, if you are not using one of these).

Using Adobe Acrobat Reader

The Acrobat Reader is a very popular app, available for free on Mac and PC, as well as iPhone and iPad and Android.

How to Navigate via the Table of Contents

1.

In Adobe Reader, the Table of Contents is called your "bookmarks". To access your bookmarks, you may need to click on the tiny arrow on the left, to open the button sidebar:

2.

Then you can click the Bookmarks button, here:

3.

Now, you can access any item in the nested table of contents:

How to Navigate via the Indications Index

1.

Near the bottom of the table of contents, you'll see the Indications Index. Click on that to access the index:

adobe-index

2.

Now, you can click on any of the page numbers to jump to the corresponding page:

3.

NOTE: You can always use the "back" function ("previous view" in Acrobat), to jump back to the index, if the item you went to does not match what you were looking for.

You can use the menu, as below, or the keyboard, with ⌘+Left Arrow for Mac, or Alt+Left Arrow for Windows.

(You can actually use this function at any time while viewing your e-book.)

Using the Search Function

You can use the search function at any time by clicking on the search icon, then entering the text you want to search for:
